What's Up, Doc?

Juniper is almost four months old and growing quickly! She's emerging as a very curious and hilarious little girl.

Here's lookin' at you, kid.

She can hold up her own head, roll over and push her head up, and practices standing every day.

In her exersaucer, propped up with a few blankets.

She amuses us with her "cooing" and at times we could swear she says "hi."  

We can also make her giggle by looking at her and pretending to laugh hilariously or saying "Wizzle Wazzle" or "Whats up, doc?"

Juniper is sleeping and eating like crazy. Growth spurts! In fact, she's starting to show interest in our food. So, we're going to try and feed her sweet potatoes this weekend. Oh boy! Watch out walls!

Recently, she had her first overnight with Daddy (Susie & Al) in the 'burbs while Mom was out of town on business. It went really well though Mom nearly lost her mind being away from her little girl for the first time ever and also, having to pump in less than desirable places was not fun! Anyway, we all did very well which is fantastic because there are more business trips to come. They can only get easier from here. (Side note: one of the glories of being a mom is referring to yourself in the 3rd person constantly.)

Since coming back, I've constituted a morning cuddle routine - for the first hour of the day. I bring her into bed when she wakes up at 5am. She lays next to me, eats and snoozes! It's the absolute best part of my day. Just look at that sleeping snuggle-bunny-snoozle-face (only here she is enjoying sleeping on her own). 

Finally, a much promised video. Here you can see a very sleepy baby getting frustrated at trying to crawl, and sticking everything into her mouth. Look at how she attacks those stuffed animals with her mouth! Hilarious! More video coming soon.
